Malakoff Corporation Berhad, leading IPP in Malaysia had a goal to migrate IT workloads to a cloud of trusted partner Silver Lining Systems based on Ubuntu OpenStack.
Silver Lining Systems deployed Acura, that provided a sophisticated approach to moving VMware virtual machines to OpenStack platform.
Acura gave Silver Lining Systems an opportunity to build a transparent migration process and migrate Malakoff Berhad IT workloads in 2 months with thorough testing and control from customer side.
Customer workloads of Active Directory, Microsoft Exchange Server, Oracle DB (58 VMs and 1 physical server) were migrated by Silver Lining Systems to their cloud. Workloads and applications were migrated by Acura to several OpenStack regions working under KVM and Hyper-V hypervisors. The snapshot size started out with 40 GB and grew to the maximum size of 4,7 TB . The total data size was over 36TB.
